SOCIAL PROJECT

Accommodation that creates opportunities

Albergue Vía de la Plata combines hospitality, inclusion and employment for people with disabilities.

PLASER: work, services and inclusion

The hostel is managed by PLASER Special Employment Centre. PLASER stands for PLACEAT Services and is a company promoted by PLACEAT to create employment opportunities for people with different types of disability.

The project provides accommodation on the Via de la Plata while also fostering employment, autonomy, responsibility and social participation.

A pioneering story

When it opened, Albergue Vía de la Plata was presented as the first hostel in Spain managed by a person with an intellectual disability. That experience demonstrated in practice that, with the right support, people can take on responsibilities, provide high-quality services and participate actively in the economic and social life of their community.

What drives this project

Supported employment

Real job opportunities in an environment that values people’s abilities and provides the support they need.

Autonomy and responsibility

Everyday work encourages decision-making, learning and personal development.

An inclusive community

Pilgrims, groups and professionals share spaces and experiences founded on respect and diversity.

Staying here also makes you part of the project

Every stay helps sustain a professional service and create employment for people with disabilities.
